Gravity and Ball Transfer Conveyors are ideal in applications that require ease of rotation, transportation and accumulation of product. All wheels and rollers are available in steel, plastic, nylon or coated.

Gravity conveyor styles offered by SCS:

Gravity Wheel Conveyor:

  

          

This type of conveyor has wheels which rotate independently, allowing excellent tracking of packages. Item to be transported on this type of conveyor should have smooth, firm bottom surfaces to ensure satisfactory operation. Product may be manually pushed along this conveyor or the conveyor may be pitched to allow the force of gravity to move the product.

Gravity Roller Conveyor:

                    

This type of conveyor offers good support for the bottom surfaces of the product to be transported. Product with irregular surfaces, such as drums or older cartons and boxes, or items too loosely bagged to transport on gravity wheel conveyors, can all be transported on the gravity roller conveyor. These items will move smoothly as long as the bottom surface of the product does not conform to the shape of the rollers. Items may be manually pushed along this conveyor or the conveyor may be pitched to allow the force of gravity to move the product.

Ball Transfer Tables:

 

Ball Transfer Tables are used where the orientation of packages must be manually transferred. The ball transfer units provide economical solutions to even the most difficult motion problems. Transfers, inspection stations and packing stations are some common applications for ball transfer tables. It is important that the product on the ball table has a smooth, firm bottom surface.

Gravity Flex Style Converyors:

 

 A flex style conveyor is a proven performer for trailer loading and unloading. Ideally suited for packaging, shipping and flexible assembly lines where conveyor load or unload location must be moved from one location to another in the same general area.

Flow-Rail Style Converyors:

 

There are many styles of flowrail. Sizing and type of flowrail will be determined based on the product and conveying surface. There are Hat-shaped, C-shaped, L-shaped and many other styles of gravity flow rails with wheels on various centers as required by the product being conveyed.
